This summer, we will be reading Howard Thurman’s Jesus and the Disinherited.

Howard Thurman was a pastor and theologian who deeply influenced the Civil Rights Movement. His book invites us to consider what the life of Jesus teaches people living amid fear, deception, and hate.

We will meet two times:

Sunday, July 13

Discuss Chapters 1–3

Sunday, August 17
11:00 – 12:30 pm
Room TBA
Discuss Chapter 4 – Epilogue
