About Union Presbyterian Church

Union Presbyterian Church is a vibrant, inclusive community in Saint Peter, Minnesota.

We are a small, warm, and welcoming congregation. We don’t have huge programs, but we do have each other. This love that we share transforms us. It makes life easier. Sometimes, this love we share makes life more difficult. But we struggle through this together.

Find us singing hymns together, laughing over coffee and treats, studying and talking about the Bible, praying for each other, and working for families and organizations in our region.

Our worship style is traditional, with hymns, pipe organ, and choir, but also relaxed, warm, and humorous.

Yes, you are welcome here…

All people are welcome to worship and participation in church activities. Those who profess Jesus as Lord are welcomed into membership. We celebrate marriage as a unique commitment between two people, whether they be in a same-gender or different-gender relationship. Women and men and people who are straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer are welcome to worship, membership, and all leadership positions within this church and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

We are a Matthew 25 congregation. We have pledged to work to build congregational vitality, dismantle structural racism, and eradicate systemic poverty.

Leadership

Union is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) We practice a democratic form of church governance: most decisions are made by our board, (which we call a session) in association with other churches in our region (our presbytery).
